cant get the remote viewer to work anymore and now it takes a long time to even start the remote viewer

More than likely a new patch to the game changed something and now CAT isn't compatible. As CAT isn't really supported anymore, I can't say if/when it will be updated. I don't play CE anymore, so that's why this isn't really updated. I assume there are better tools out there for CE at this point? If I have some extra time (which doesn't look likely anytime soon), I'll see if the fix is easy enough to do and if so try and update it to continue to work, but if there are other tools out there, you might consider using one of them.
