When players start the game, they start in debt for the cost of their warship. Players have 30 days to pay off this debt, after which a 5% daily interest rate is applied.
There are other ways you can have debt, such as fines imposed by the federation, etc.
You can make payments on any debts you have by visiting The First Bank of Terra in sector 3.

- When purchasing cargo, there is a 10% cost increase.
- 5% will go to the federation in taxes to help the war effort
