    Temporary RAT Event variable

This isn't currently possible. I was working on RAT Script 2.0 for some time which is more like normal scripting (loops, variables, etc), but I had to shelve it for the time being. I'm currently working on a lot of optimization/rewriting of RAT, but I do plan on looking into adding such...

Thank you very much JFF Gaming!

Thank you much and thanks @Ciro and any others for helping you out! Its good to hear that you have found RAT useful and have gotten good support for it! Thank you for posting! =)

Question about sending events to Discord.

Awesome, glad you found it (and even more happy you posted the solution!) =) I wasn't aware that had to be on either (I think its on by default though).

Question about sending events to Discord.

The format is: .DSAY:#CHANNELNAME:This text will be in Discord channel #CHANNELNAME The .DSAY command is "generic" is that its just text, that's it. None of the thumbnails, etc.. work with the DSAY command (they can't, its not how Discord works). If you want to show a title, description...

Question about sending events to Discord.

Thumbnail is a URL to an image. So it'll display in the embed. If you do not want/have one, just remove the thumbnail section. =)

Question about sending events to Discord.

Yes you can, you can use the Discord Public Chat event and respond to it the same basic way as the above event. There should be some examples in there as well for things like /time I think, etc. =)

Question about sending events to Discord.

As an example, you would create a new event, of type "Player Killed Zombie" In the script section you'd do something like: .DSAY:#discordchannelname:{player_killer_name} just killed a zombie!

Teleport Destinations not updating in the RAT when users add them?

Its understandable. =) Hopefully in a new version or so, things will be clearer.

Teleport Destinations not updating in the RAT when users add them?

Player teleports are specific to each player. No one else can use them. The teleport destinations tab are for teleports you as an admin want to setup. Then you can use them from inside RAT script, etc. This lets you create locations that if they change, you just change them in the...

How do I know if someone is hacking?

You'll have to read up on that yourself, I don't actually use it as I don't need it (my servers are always private and password protected), so I've never personally used it (Although I know a lot of people do).

How do I know if someone is hacking?

Up to you on how you wanna run your server. =) But if I knew cheaters were allowed, I wouldn't play there. But as I said, you're an admin now, how you run your server is 100% up to you. =)

How do I know if someone is hacking?

Also, there are a ton of cheats out there for 7d2d. Typically they are flying, spawning items and teleporting. But they exist and are easily available. The only thing you can do is lock down your server with a password, get more trusted admins, find mods to help deal with it, or be online...

How do I know if someone is hacking?

He's cheating, ban him. No one should be able to fly without you specifically giving them access to do so (god mode basically). No one should be able to create ammo in those quantities either, not without a crapton of resources and time. There are mods out there that will help detect these...

[Not a Bug] Lagging when entering to Inventory

RAT has NOTHING to do with your players getting a freeze when opening their backpacks. The fact that you have a mod that is adding new items or otherwise changing what happens to inventory is probably the problem. I get that the mod works fine without RAT. But what it sounds like is all of...

[Not a Bug] Game server lagging

RAT won't make your clients freeze, as it simply cannot do that. It is just a telnet connection to the server, of which there can be dozens if not hundreds. It is more than likely a mod causing issues. If you think it is a mod that is required by RAT, you'll need to speak with those mod...

[Not a Bug] Game server lagging

Older versions of RAT are here: 7D2D RAT 2.0 Alpha -- 64 Bit (Alpha 19 Compatible) - History However, please remember that NO support is offered for older versions of RAT.

[Researching] RAT 2.0 alpha x64 0.2.02.9 :: event type "player killed zombie" not detected / not fired

There was a bug in an older version of RAT that was fixed in some of the more recent updates. However, if RAT happens to work for an older version of the game, that's great. But there is no support for anything other than the current version of the game (in this case, A19).

Thanks to BadPlayer & Ciro for these updates.

    Unable to backup

I'll have to check the code and see what causes of failure there could be. You should have two backup files now, the game world and the save games. Make sure that you have both files and that both of them contain your content. The only other thing I can think of offhand is storage space...
